WHAT IS ISO 39001?
ISO 39001 is an internationally recognized standard for road traffic safety management systems. The certification is relevant for all organizations that operate in or interact with traffic. A management system based on ISO 39001 helps organizations systematically prevent traffic accidents and reduce risks in traffic situations. The certification complements existing legislation, and by implementing ISO 39001, companies can not only improve their own traffic safety but also contribute to society’s overall traffic safety goals.

ISO 39001 REQUIREMENTS
To achieve ISO certification, an organization must first implement a road traffic management system. The certification process then begins with an audit, which includes document review and a subsequent certification audit. Upon successful completion, an ISO certificate can be issued. To maintain certification, annual surveillance audits are conducted, and a recertification audit is required every three years.
ISO 39001 integrates seamlessly with other management systems, such as quality management (ISO 9001) and environmental management (ISO 14001).

Start-up
Planing the audit
Stage 1 Audit
This audit is mandatory, and the documented management system along with other relevant materials is reviewed.
Stage 2 Audit
The purpose of this audit is to ensure that the management system meets the requirements specified by the standard.
Surveillance audits and recertification
Following the initial audit, ongoing audits are conducted, typically once or twice per year.

Certification Process
The path to your certification follows a series of predefined steps. When planning the audit, we remain attentive to your needs and preferences to ensure the process is smooth and easy to understand.
Transfer to SBcert
If you are already certified, you can easily transfer to SBcert through a transfer audit. The transfer is usually conducted alongside your regular surveillance audit or recertification. No additional time or costs are incurred beyond the standard audit.
